How to reach us
From Florence and Siena
To reach La Locanda nel Cassero from Florence you need to exit the Autostrada atFirenze Certosa and continue towards Siena/Grosseto. Stay on this road even when it becomes the highway E78 (4 lanes) and then the highway SS 223 (2 lanes) always driving towards Grosseto. Approximately 35 km after Siena, you will find the exit for Civitella Marittima on your right.
From Rome and Grosseto
To reach La Locanda nel Cassero from Rome, you need to take the A12 towards Civitavecchia/Grosseto and then the E80/SS1 always following signs to Grosseto. When you reach Grosseto, take the E78/SS223 following signs to Siena. Approximately 30 km after Grosseto, you will find the exit for Civitella Marittima on your right.
From Pisa
To reach La Locanda nel Cassero from Pisa take the Autostrada A 12 (Genova/Civitavecchia) in the direction of Livorno. When the Autostrada ends and becomes the highway E80, follow follow signs to Rome/Grosseto. Take the exit Gavorrano Scalo (after the exit for Gavorrano) and continue towards Ribolla and Roccastrada. Approaching Roccastrada, immediately after a Ies gas station on your left, you will get to an intersection. Cross it and follow signs to Civitella Marittima (11km). If you miss the exit to Gavorrano Scalo, you can go to Grosseto and follow the directions provided above.
For everybody
If you come from Florence/Siena or Grosseto/Rome, once you leave the E78 highway, drive past the gas station on your left and the cemetery on your right to a small round-about. Take the main road on the left and enter the village. Stop in the main parking lot by the pharmacy and before the town hall (Municipio).
If you come from Pisa, once you reach the small round-about at the entrance of the village take the main road that leads into the village just ahead of you (there is a building on one corner and the park on the other) and stop in the main parking lot by the pharmacy and before the town hall (Municipio).
We recommend you park your car there as the roads at the top of the hill are narrow and there are few parking spaces. We will be happy to explain to you where you can park closer to La Locanda if you need it once you get here.
